PROCLAMATION.

By His Excellency WILLIAM THOMAS MERCER, Esquire, Acting Governor and Commander-in- Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same.

Whereas under the provisions of Ordinance No. 3 of 1862, intituled "An Ordinance to authorize "His Excellency the Governor by Proclamation to prohibit the Exportation of Military Stores and other "Articles," His Excellency Sir HERCULES ROBINSON did, on the 24th day of February last, prohibit, for the space of One year from the 28th day of the said month of February, the exportation of Military Stores and other Articles therein enumerated;

And whereas Instructions have been received from the Right Honorable The SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE COLONIES permitting and directing the withdrawal of such prohibition:

Now, therefore, I, WILLIAM THOMAS MERCER, do, under the Instructions above cited, declare the said Proclamation of the 24th day of February last, and the said prohibition therein contained, to be hereby cancelled and withdrawn from this date, and it is so withdrawn accordingly.
